Attached to a travelling filter belt are cross-pieces of which the shape fits the filter bed along the upper run of the belt to form compartments water-tight from one another, travelling with the belt. Specif., the pitch of the cross-pieces may be adjustable so that the contents of the compartments or their time of travel across fixed operational zones can be changed. |
