<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the damage upon a copying machine and to prevent induction of jamming by interrupting the copying operation during the jammed condition so that the sheet conveyance may be stopped a preset time laps after the copy sheets of the copying machine are discharged. CONSTITUTION:When the jamming is detected by the jam detecting means 10 of a sheet distributor 11, the copying operation of a copying machine 12 is interrupted through a copying condition judging circuit 35 and a copy control circuit 36. At the same time, the timer 41 of the distributor 11 is set in response to the detecting signals of means 40 so that the paper discharging operation by a control circuit 37 and a drive source 38 is continued until the set time of the timer 41 passes. The sheet, which has been copied by the copying machine 12 when the jamming takes place, is discharged so that its distribution by the distributor 11 is stopped after the discharging opertion. As a result, the copy being produced by the copying machine can be discharged even after the jamming has taken place so that the damage upon the copying machine is reduced and so that there is no fear of the jamming in the copying machine.</p> |
