Several burners heat the tubes, and are arranged concentrically between the outer and inner cylindrical furnace walls. The tubes are placed at a distance along the walls. Spec., the combustion air is sucked in at the bottom of the central cylinder, deflected in the upper cylinder section and passed along the inner furnace wall downwards to the burners.
