1. Compact double leaf spring which displays a U-shaped base part, from the side limbs of which extend a connecting element transversely thereto rearwardly and fork arme forwardly, wherein a stirrup-shaped internal spring is arranged in the space between the fork arms and retained in the end region of the fork arms, characterized thereby, that the fork arms (9 and 10) in the end region form an inlet funnel (21) and the central width region of each fork arm end displays an inwardly directed, corrugation-like bend (23), the lateral regions of each fork arm end region are notched, wherein the notches (25) commence at the lateral edges of the fork arms (9 and 10), run towards one another, then run upwards at right angles and terminate shortly before the end edge (24) of the fork arms, and contact arms (26) result from the notches, are folded inwardly and in the free end region bent back outwards.
