PURPOSE:To omit the conversion from the free space to the waveguide and thus to simplify the constitution through simultaneous execution of the wave division and amplification by incorporating the amplifier element into the beam mode type ring resonator. CONSTITUTION:In the beam mode type selection amplifier which amplifies directly and selectively the arriving waves in the free space at the millimeter wave band, coupling plate 41, 42 and 43 composed of the metal grid or the dielectric whose transmittance is not zero are provided along with metal concave mirror 51 and 52 to form a beam mode type ring resonator, and then amplifier element 61 and 62 are added into mirror 51 and 52. In such constitution, element 61 and 62 to be incorporated into mirror 51 or 52 is decided to one or more than one unit Element 61 and 62 are installed within waveguide 10 and then connected to the resonator via coupling hole 11 provided to mirror 51 or 52. Thus, the converter circuit from the free space to the waveguide can be omitted, simplifying the overall constitution. |
