PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF MOENOMYCIN A processor the preparation of Moenomycin by way of microbiological fermentation of Moenomycin-forming Streptomyces in the usual biological manner and in the presence of fats, which comprises adding to the fermentation medium a surfactant having the general formula (1) R-O-(CH2-CH2-O-)nH (1) , wherein R represents a saturated or mono-unsaturuted hydrocarbon radical having from 8 to 18 carbon atoms and optionally carrying in each case a hydroxy group, and n stands for an integer of from 18 to 30.
