Herbicide, its preparation and its use

A herbicide is described which comprises, as active substance, a compound of the following formula (I) <IMAGE> in which the substituents are defined in Claim 1. If R' is hydrogen, the abovementioned agent is obtained by first preparing the active ingredient by reacting an arylhydroxylamine with an arylchlorocarbonate and the product is then mixed with formulation auxiliaries. If R' is other than hydrogen, the reaction product described is additionally acylated or carbamoylated and only then mixed with formulation auxiliaries. The abovementioned herbicide is particularly suitable for selectively controlling weeds in crops of sugar beet, fodder beet, spinach and legumes.
