PURPOSE:To prevent jamming, scattering due to wind and mischief, etc. by stacking banknotes without setting them free when temporarily stacking banknotes sent by a transfer means. CONSTITUTION:A banknote judged to be abnormal by an appraisal circuit is sent forth between a tray 3 and a pressing plate 5 of a banknote temporary stacking device 2 by means of a transfer means 1, and collected downward successively. At this time, since the banknote is attracted toward a shutter 6 by means of a roller 6, the front end of banknote is aligned by a shutter 12. At the end of stacking,a drive mechanism 10 operates, and the banknote temporary stacking device 2 is moved forward by a crank rod 11. In consequence, the base 3a of the tray 3 pushes open the shutter 12, and the tray 3 and the pressing plate 5 project with the banknote held inside. When a customer pulls out a banknote, a take-out sensor 14 detects this to actuate the drive mechanism 10, so that the banknote temporary stacking device 2 returns to the original position. |
