PURPOSE:To make simultaneous use of both of change in light transmittance and change in light refractive index and achive the improvement in light sensitivity characteristics of a photo memory element by providing a photo memory element lamination-formed with a second semi-transparent metal film and a read means on the surface of an amorphous semiconductor film. CONSTITUTION:A visible light transmittable substrate 1 composed of glass, etc. is covered with a semi-transparent metal film 3 on its surface and an amorphous semiconductor film 2 having PD effect and a second semi-transparent metal film 4 are subsequently lamination-formed on said semi-transparent metal film 3. The device is constituted by the photo memory element formed in this way and the read means composed of the white light having passed through a narrow-band filter, whereby the light sensitibity characteristics may be improved. |
