Using a closure which is easy to handle it is intended to make simple fitting of the anti-skid chain possible. For this purpose, the inner side-chain (2) can be clamped from the front side of the wheel by passing a clamping element, for example a chain (7), through two sliding rings (3, 4) at the open ends of the inner side-chain (2) and subsequently passing it to the front side of the wheel and passing it there through a ring (6) of the outer side-chain (5). <IMAGE>
