The 'U' section rail is of lightweight metal and is for utilisation in guiding the vertical edges of the screen (8) of a roller blind. The inner faces of the legs (1, 2) of the section constitute the sliding surface and incorporate a supple lining (5) respectively. The gap between the lining (5) and the sliding surface (1) is precisely adapted to the screen thickness. The edges of the screen may be a close tolerance fit in the rail gap, and the leading length of the non lined leg (1) may curve out (7) to form a lead in for the screen (8).
