PURPOSE:To realize the voltage clamp circuit less in power consumption, by delivering the clamp power absorbed and consumed in the voltage clamp circuit to other power consumption circuit. CONSTITUTION:The transformer 5 in which the winding ratio is equal to the clamp voltage to power supply voltage 9. Further, the power produced at the secondary is passed through the blocking diode 6, being consumed in the load 10. If the current I2 at the secondary winding is made less than the current I of the load 10, the current I2 is flown to the load 10 and the power supply 9 can be burdened only for the differential current of (I3-I2). That is, the clamp power essentially consumed in the voltage clamp circuit is consumed in the load 10 via the transformer 5, resulting that the clamp power is effectively used and the current capacity of the power supply 9, that is, the power consumption can be reduced. |
