Household ice-cream freezer comprises a motor, with a redn, gear, which drives a mixing blade in a container through a planetary chain of pinions. The walls of the container are curved or shaped like polygons inscribed in a circle. The motor is mounted on the container and drives the mixing blade through the gear chain. The end of the blade can be made to describe a very wide range of curves by modifying the ratio of the number of teeth on the pinions. The mixer arm is fitted with a device so that the lower arm can be retracted when the iced prepn. has attained the desired viscosity. The planetary movement of the mixing arm leads to partic. efficient mixing and blocks of iced prod. can be obtd. in a variety of shapes, such as triangular, square, polygonal etc., instead of the circular form obtd. hitherto.
|
