The frame is used in the production of a cabinet or of a switchboard. Such cabinets or switchboards are manufactured in single-piece production according to the wishes of the client. The height and the width of the frame divisions, in the form of a front panel or door (5), differ from case to case. The frame structure nevertheless permits prefabricated elements to be used. The upper and lower decorative strip (1, 1') specifically forms a structural element on which vertical struts (3) can be screwed by means of Z-shaped connecting elements. For this purpose, the decorative strips have grooves for push-in nuts. <IMAGE>
