<p>The carcass is hung from the suspension bar which in turn is attached to the device and the trolley. The spacing arms is arranged so that teeth at the ends of the arms are spaced at the same distance apart as the tendons of the animal. This movement is effected by the control device which is within reach of the operator. The carcass is then suspended by the arms of the device and the suspension bar is removed. It is again loaded at the slaughtering post with another carcass. The arms are drawn apart as the carcass is split; they are brought together again as each half is placed on a branched hook for removal. The carcass can be handled by a single person, by the aid of the service, from the time it arrives on its suspending rod until it is moved away on hooks. The arms can be opened in proportion as the carcass is split.</p> |
