The demountable greenhouse has a tubular metal frame with transverse two-pitched portals at longitudinals intervals. The side wall cladding is suspended and tensioned by cables from a crank-handle rotatable rod at the eaves level. The side walls can, thus, be raised or lowered at will to suit external climatic conditions. The bottom and top longitudinal edges of the side-wall cladding are attached to a fixed member and a movable member respectively. The bottom member may house and clamp the edge of the cladding, and the top member may comprise a stabilising tube to which the suspension cables are fixed.
