The roof fits onto the walls of a vehicle spray painting booth and is of hollow construction. Its lower face forms the ceiling and has a convex shape, a central flat area (3) with each side (3, 4) inclined upwards to the walls (6, 7). The surface of the ceiling has filter panels, air passing through to counter-balance pressure variations inside the booth and provide a dust-free, still atmosphere. The edges of the roof (1) are held loosely in rebates (8) around the tops of the booth walls and resting on seals. Any overpressure causes the roof to lift and relieve the pressure through the sides.
