The hull has a base profile tangent making an angle of 13 deg. with the horizontal. The top edge of the base has a step which corresponds approximately to the waterline. The upper part of the hull is made more nearly vertical. The hull shaped is curved towards the stern to reduce the bow shape to give a flat bottom at the stern of the vessel.
