Multiplex operation circuit for LED display units - uses pauses between individual signal elements to perform signal changes

Each unit displays at least two symbol/figures separate from each other. A certain symbol/figure can be represented by at least one excited element of a suitable matrix. Luminous elements of each matrix are connected by multiplex signals through a first (figure) driver amplifier to a supply source one terminal. Luminous elements in the same positions in all matrices are connected in parallel through a second (segment) drive amplifier and an element information allocated to the certain symbol/figure to the supply source other terminal. Pulse pauses (Tp) are provided between individual multiplex signals (S'm) which have no steep edges. Element signals are changed during pauses.
