The coupling for optical fibres includes two diverging metal strips (3, 4) connected together at points (5) by a solder. Near the ends of the strips a substrate block is fixed (6) made of plastic, ceramic or metal material, and having a parallelepiped shape. In the top surface of the block (6) are four parallel V-shaped grooves extending over the length of the block. Holes in the metal strip ends (8, 9) are made in line with the grooves for the fibres to pass through. The teeth (10, 11) of comb like parts hold the fibres into the grooves. To bring the ends of the joined fibres together on the block (6), an adjusting screws is provided linking the two metal strips together at their mid-points.
|
