Building elements, esp. panels - made from hydraulic binder and expanded aggregate, and suitable for outside walls

Building element, made from a hydraulic binder which is mixed with an aggregate of expanded material. The aggregates may be in an expanded state when they are mixed with the binder. Alternatively, non-expanded aggregates may be mixed with the binder, followed by heating the mixt. to expand the aggregate and harden the binder. At least one of the surfaces of the element pref. has a coating or facing of concrete. The pref. element is a panel providing heat- and sound insulation; and suitable aggregates are expanded- poly- styrene, -clay, -glass, -schist, etc.. Very strong panels are obtd. by using non-expanded materials mixed wiht the binder and then expanded by heating the mixt.. In an example, the panel was coated on both sides with facing concrete.
