PURPOSE:To reduce wasteful consumption of developer and recover the same by forming a substantial air closed circuit with a nozzle provided in proximity to photoreceptor surface, an air compressor feeding air to this nozzle and a recovering device whose opening is placed close to the photoreceptor surface. CONSTITUTION:The compressed air delivered out from a compressor 14 is requlated of its descharge intensity and is led into a nozzle 13, from which it blows off the excess developer having deposited on the surface of a photosensitive drum 1. The liquid and air having been blown off are led into a recovering device 17 and the air is again returned through conduit 18 into the compressor 14. The recovered liquid having accumulated in the conduit 18 is recovered into a developer vessel 10 when the conduit 18 is removed from the recovering device 17 or compressor 14. Hence, there is no diffusion of smell owing to evaporation of the liquid nor wasteful consumption of the luquid and since the entire part of the apparatus forms the closed circuit, the production of noise is less. |
