Olefin polymers are stabilized with compounds of formula where R is alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, alkaryl, ureido, thioureido, anilino, alkylanilino or a radical of one of formulae where n is 1 to 8. Specified polymers are polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutadiene, polyisoprene, and ethylene/propylene, styrene/butadiene and acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene copolymers. Many suitable stabilizers are listed and examples describe the stabilizing of polyethylene and polypropylene with 2,2,6,6- tetramethyl - 4 - n - butylimino-, - 4 - cyclohexylimino-, -4-ureidoimino-, -4-p-tolylimino- and -4-p-tolylhydrazino-piperidine-1-oxides; and N,N1 - bis(2,2,6,6, - tetramethyl - 4 - piperidylidene - 1 - oxide) ethylenediamine, hexamethylenediamine and p-phenylenediamine.
