A noise reducing spring (36, 38) of a disc brake is a metal leaf spring which substantially forms a U of which opposite edges (46, 48) of the two limbs respectively engage a mounting pin (24, 26) for a pair of friction elements (28, 30) and an abutment surface (20, 22) defined on a support member (10) to permit mounting of the spring (36, 38) by clipping. An operative portion (50) of the spring resiliently engages an anchoring surface (52, 54) defined on the backing plate (32) of each friction element (28, 30) to urge the latter circumferentially.

|
