PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plane light source device that can be easily manufactured with the use of the fewer number of point light sources and attain uniform luminance with lowering of cost aimed at.SOLUTION: The plane light source device includes LEDs 9 as point light sources, and a plate-shaped light guide plate 5 for emitting light incident from the LEDs 9 from the front after converting it into plane light. The light guide plate 5 has a through-hole 10 formed along and in parallel with its side face. The LEDs 9 are arranged at either end of the through-hole 10, and makes light incident into the through-hole 10. |
