<p>Accelerator in colour photographic bleach/fix bath comprises aq. soln. of mild oxidant and silver halide solvent, being a water-sol. tiosulphate or thiocyanate, consists of (a) water-soluble selenosemicarbazide of formula (where R1 is H, (ar)alkyl, aryl, R6CO (where R6 is H, alkyl, alkoxy or heterocycle), NR7R8-CSe (where R7 and R8 are H or alkyl); R2 is H or alkyl; R3 is H (ar)alkyl or aryl; R4 is H, (ar)alkyl or aryl; R5 is H or alkyl, at lest one of R3, R4 and R5 is H and not more than one aryl, aralkyl or heterocycle being present in the cpd. or (b) a water-sol. cpd. of formula (where R9-16 are H or alkyl, not more than 4 alkyls are in the cpd. and at least one of R9-16 is H and X is -(CH2)m-group, m being 0-4) or (c) a water-soluble 1,2,4-triazole-3-selenol, where the 5-carbon atom carries H, alkyl, hydroxy or (ar(alkyl)amino and one of the N-atoms is (ar)alkyl or aryl, substd. or (d) a water-sol. 5,5-bis-1,2,4-triazole-3-selenol where the triazole rings are linked directly over via a -(CH2)n- group, n being 1,4, and where an N-atom carries in each triazole ring is H, aryl or (ar)alkyl, substd. The bleach/fix bath is stable.</p> |
