Cutting drum for paper and plastics shredder - has scrapers with pointed ends preventing drum clogging with thermoplastics

The cutting drum is used in a shredding machine for waste paper has grooved cutters on its circumference. A fixed scraper is fitted which projects into cutter working region. The machine does not get blocked when cutting thermoplastics material. Between the scrapers (3) is fitted an auxiliary scraper (4). The latter is fixed on the housing. The auxiliary scraper (4) has pointed ends (13, 14) which reach close to the circumference (8) of the cutters (1). The cutting drum may have several hundreds of cutters and slots. The scrapers prevent clogging of drum when microfilms are shredded. The drum can be also reversed without danger of clogging.
