Continuous dissolution centrifuge esp. for sugar - with baffle plates, catch tray and solution trough in solids receptacle

A continuous centrifuge is fitted with a ring main for a solvent (water) which is sprayed against an apron and against the inner wall of the receptacle for the solids. An annular V-shaped soln. trough at the bottom of this receptacle is arranged near to an outlet pipe and includes an inclined catch tray for the solids/solvent mixture. This lengthens the path available for the dissolution of the solids to such an extent that they are dissolved to a large extent within the centrifuge casing.
