The circular wheel trim is held in place inside the wheel rim by a special clamp ring made from a thin metal pressing with arrays of fingers (27) at both edges. The ring is slotted to allow simple bending over of the fingers after the ring has been bent into a securing hoop. The fingers have double points on one side to improve the grip inside the wheel rim. A series of holes (25) in the metal allow the hoop size to be set to fit different wheel rims.
