<p>The animal feeding device is esp. for individally-held animals such as suckling sows. It comprises a fodder conveyor with a number of tap points. There is a feed line from each tap point to a feed trough and there is a releasable cut-off device for each feed line. The feed storage volume between the tap point (36) and the outlet of the feed line (24) is small in comparison with the volume of the fodder taken in by the animal during a feeding period. The cut-off device is operated by the animal itself to deliver food (22) from the conveyor, which runs only during given feed periods, into the feed trough (12).</p> |
