Electroerosion spark machine control - with pulse generator for constant pulse amplitudes in operation and short circuits

An electro-erosion spark machine which conducts current pulses through a spark gap formed between a workpiece and a counter electrode is equipped with an electronic pulse current generator. The electronic network is designed as a constant current source (constant pulse amplitude) which can be quickly cut in and out by an electronic switch. The arrangement keeps the current constant even in cast of short-circuits. Very short currents rise and decay times allow a high mark-to-space ratio.
