The mounting and filling mechanism is esp. for the completion of injections by sliding the piston in the cylinder. Cams are provided on a drive shaft of a takeoff conveyor (2) to supply the tube (3). The cams engage a demand element coupled to the input of an electro-pneumatic control element. The output of the latter is coupled to a working mechanism sliding the piston (13) in a positioning device (12) in front of the tube (3) onto the conveyor (2). The mechanism is mechanically coupled with a closing device (14) for the feeder (15) of a magazine (16) for the piston (13).
