The copying machine uses copy paper in a roll. Paper is drawin from a roll intermittently. A cutting arrangement is fitted behind the feeder rollers. Paper is cut to the length matching the original. The start of the new copying paper roll is pushed by means of a guide channel provided with a curved part between the feeding rollers. The latter are lifted away from each other by an actuating mechanism against spring force. The actuating arrangement is a hinged cover rotated into open position for removing the empty spool and inserting a new one.
