Vibrating screen which prevents clogging of mesh - is vibrated simultaneously in two mutually perpendicular directions by electromagnetic units or unbalanced rotors

When using a vibrating screen to separate particles (e.g. grain) of different sizes, any wedge-shaped particles tend to become lodged in the screen mesh. This difficulty can be overcome by vibrating the screen in two mutually perpendicular directions simultaneously. The vibrating screen (6) is mounted in the frame (3) and vibrated in the axial direction by the electro-magnetic vibrator (1). At the same time the vibrator (2) imparts a lateral vibration to the screen (6) but at a different frequency. Instead of electromagnetic vibrators, mechanical vibrators with out-of-balance rotors may be used.
