The toggle clamp used for locking components in motor vehicles, has the clamping lever pivoted on a support block on the other component. The clamping lever has hook connected to the matching components in other components for locking purposes. The hook is released on pivoting the lever in opposite direction. The hook bracket is prevented from flapping by a flexible element in open state. This arrangement eliminates lock flapping noises in locked or released state. The flexible element on the holding block (1) has a bolt (5) engaging with the hook. The hook is pressed against the bolt (5) by a rubber buffer (8) which has contact faces in the clamping lever (3). |
