<p>A number of frequency range display elements is arranged in a row. They cover the whole frequency band, so that each display element corresponds to one of several frequency ranges, in which the frequency band is divided. A driving circuit responds to the variable control voltage and selectively activates the display element whose frequency range includes the frequency to which the tuner is set by the control voltage. In a preferred embodiment frequency ranges belonging to neighbouring display elements can partly overlap at both ends, so that only the part not overlapping is shown on a diaply element, while the overlapping parts are shown on the neighbouring elements. A more sensitive indication is thereby achieved with a relatively small number of display elements.</p> |
