Each cylinder/piston assembly consists of cylinder (23) in which is a hollow piston (21). The hollow part of the piston acts as reservoir (22) communicating with the space between cylinder and piston by filling valve (6). The cylinder is also provided with the pressure inlet connection (28). During the operation of the pressing plate, the fluid contained in each reservoir (22) flows through valve (6) into chamber (24). When filling chamber (24) is completed, the pressurising of each cylinder for pressing purposes is effected by admitting fluid through connection (28).
