A high expansion foam fire extinguishing system providing foam at velocities approaching 650ft/min by utilizing pressurized water, was comprised of an enclosed foam generator without air moving equipment, a fluid means for supplying a pressurized source of water coupled to the reservoir, a proportional mixing means coupled to the fluid means and reservoir, a plurality of nozzle members coupled to the proportional mixing means, and a multilayer screen comprising a 1st. and 2nd honeycombed layer.
