<p>PURPOSE:To prevent abrasion and wear of a piston etc. by putting inter-metal compound grain harder than a connecting rod onto the surface that contacts the connecting rod of the piston. CONSTITUTION:A piston 2 is moulded from a light alloy such as aluminum etc. with a concaved spherical part 2a into which one end of the connecting rod 3 is to be fit. At both ends of the connecting rod 3 are fixed steel balls 3b, 3b', each of which is inserted into a concaved spherical part 2a of the piston 2 and into a concaved spherical part 6a of an oscillating plate 6. The oscillating plate 6 is moulded from a light alloy such as aluminum etc. Inter-metal compound grain, harder than the metal of the connecting rod 3, is put onto the surfaces of concaved spherical parts 2a, 6a of the piston 2 and the oscillating plate 6 by means of a shot peening method etc., maintaining the oil-holding efficiency as well as improving the average hardness of the surface.</p> |
