PURPOSE:To give the prescribed phase shift amout free from the effect of the frequency change with no use of the element such a LCR or the like and only through the constitution of the waveform process circuit composed of the active elements. CONSTITUTION:Signal (a) given from sine wave oscillator 1 is waveform-shaped (2) to rectangular wave signal (b), converted (4) to saw-tooth wave signal (d), and also changed to rectangular wave signal (c) through phase inversion 3 to be then converted (5) to saw-tooth wave signal (e). Then waveform (d) and (e) are supplied to comparator 6 and 7 to be compared with the fixed reference voltage v, and only the part exceeding v is drawn out to obtain rectangular wave signal (f) and (g) at the output. At the same time, bistable multivibrator 8 is triggered to obtain rectangular wave signal output (h). Signal (h) features the phase shifted by phi compared with original signal (b), and this phase shift is equivalent to the time during which signal (d) and (e) reach v. In this connection, an optional phase shift phi is obtained in a range from 0 deg. to 180 deg. if the value of v is varied from zero through the maximum value of signal (d) and (e). Furthermore, phi receives no effect even though the frequency of the input signal may change. |
