PURPOSE:To recover the waste heat of coke oven gas effectively, by cooling the coke oven gas by the indirect heat exchange with a poor absorbent of a gas- puriffier, and using the poor absorbent for heating a good absorbent. CONSTITUTION:Coke oven gas 2 from a coke oven 1 is pre-cooled by gas liqor 4 sprayed from a dry main 3, and cooled to room temperature successively by an indirect gas cooling apparatus 6 and a direct gas cooling apparatus 7. A poor absorbent from the bottom of a toxic material evaporator 12 is passed through the indirect gas cooler 6, and after heat-exchange, used as a heating medium of the toxic material evaporator 12. A part of hot water discharged from the evaporator 12 is passed through a heat exchanger 14 and an absorption cooler 13 to an absorbing column 11 where it is used for the absorption of toxic materials in the coke oven gas, e.g. hydrogen sulfide. The good absorbent containing the toxic materials is sent to the evaporator 12, where the absorbed toxic materials are evaporated by the heat of the poor absorbent from the indirect cooling apparatus 6. |
