In the herbicidal procedure, a plant is brought into contact with a herbicidally effective amount of a compound of the formula I. The active substances of the formula I are prepared by heating a mixture of a sterically hindered phenylazomethine and a compound of the formula: <IMAGE> in vacuo until the evolution of the sterically hindered aniline comes to an end.</p> |
