<p>PURPOSE:To provide a construction for fixing side dump doors of rear body of a dump truck or the like, which is capable of improving outer apperance and safety, by employing an arrangement capable of covering the hinge-coupled portion required for coupling the side dump doors to the side plates of rear body. CONSTITUTION:An inwardly opened, substatially U-shaped groove 3 is formed by bending the lower end portion of main plate 2 of side dump door 1, and upper marginal portion 6 of the groove 3 and upper marginal portion 7 of side plate 5 are held in contact with each other, such that the Z-shaped side plate 5 fixed to the outer side plate of floor plate 4 of the rear body is placed on the groove 3, so as to form a downwardly opened, box-shaped hollow space 8. In this hollow space 8, brackets 10 fixed to the groove 3 and bracket 11 fixed to the side portion of side plate 5 are coupled in pivotally movable manner by means of center shaft 12. With such an arrangement for the apparatus for opening and closing dump doors of dump truck or the like, safety of the dump doors can be improved since any projection is not formed on the outside of the dump doors, and anticorrosiveness and outer appearance of the dump doors can be improved since pivot-connected portions are not exposed to the outside.</p> |
