<p>The heat absorption efficiency is increased to about 85% in an installation for the exploitation of solar energy using the familiar "glasshouse effect" and a heat exchanger. The active fluid is dark and opaque and consists of a liq. absorbing UV radiation, and particles which absorb visible and IR radiation. The liq. may be water, oil, derivs. of silicones or of polymers, etc. The particles may be of carbon black, dark coloured colloids such as oxides of chromium, nickel, copper, manganese. The fluid may also be a gas contg. molecules of bromide or chlorine.</p> |
