The door hinge for a refrigerator has a pairs of fittings mounted on the top and bottom edges of the door (1) and each pair has two hinge pins (22, 24) guided in curved tracks. The pivot axis (24) translates as the door pivots and lies within the horizontal cross section of the door. Both pairs of fittings comprises a fixed angle iron (21) and a door (23) plate. The irons (21) each have a curved slot (27) and a prim. projecting axle stud (22), and the plates (23) have a curved track (26) and a sec projecting axle stud (24). When the door is mounted the prim. stud (22) engages the track (26) and the sec. stud (24) engages the slot (27).
