Mounting finned tubes in a heat exchanger - using subassemblies of tube bundles and their supports

The exchangers are constructed in casings starting with sub-assemblies of standard tubular bundles, the number used being variable to meet the heat exchange requirements of the appts. The distribution boxes for each sub-assembly are compartmented to control the distribution of the heat carrier fluid. Baffles are incorporated in the structure to reduce the dead space and to avoid the formation of by-passes for the fluid between the sub-assemblies and the outer jacket of the exchanger. Part of an assembly can be taken out of use for servicing or repair without stopping the whole appts. It is versatile and the construction of the outer jacket and the sub-assemblies may be carried out separately.
