Synthetic material marine fender - has contact surface supported by ribs bearing on ship or quay wall

The fender made of synthetic material is intended for fitting to ships, bollards or quay- and dockwalls. The fender is arranged in multiples assembled horizontally, vertically or both ways. Each fender comprises a contact surfaces (2) backed by four parallel, equally spaced ribs (3-6). The free ends of these ribs are enlarged (8) to increase the bearing area against the object to be protected and drilled (7) for securing. The rib length is about five times rib thickness and the distance apart about three times the rib thickness. The outer surface has circular section grooves in line with the rib axes.
