Fluid under pressure is supplied to a first conduit, which has constant size outlets spaced evenly over its surface, through which fluid escapes to a second conduit which either surrounds the first one or is in contact with part of it. The second conduit has perforated surface and fluid is distributed by it at constant pressure and velocity over its whole length. May be used for steam treatment of moving paper webs. |
