The light contact spring is particularly for multi-chamber lights on vehicles, and consists of a flat elastic metal strip connecting the lamp with a terminal. The strip (18) has one or more flexible areas (25) which can be shaped by hand and typically formed by twisting the strip for part of its length, through up to 180 deg.. Alternatively the strip can be bent into a zigzag fold, or weakened by stamping portions out of it. The design gives wide adaptability to different shapes of lights, and is unaffected by subsequent painting or other operations.
