The parking system is particularly for vehicles, having an entry and exit and a mechanism moving at right angles to them containing a number of parking places travelling together. The mechanism works in conjunction with stationary parking places (8), and the vehicle to be parked can be transferred to one of them from a place on the mechanism. There can e two or more rows of stationary places one above the other, while the mechanism comprises and endless chain travelling past them and with places along its entire length.
